The idea was a Brush that had rubber spiked bristles. The idea was inspired from the point in the movie in which they talked about how the only part of the tooth brush that needed to be replaced was the head. So I came up with the concept of a brush that used rubber spiked bristles. There was really no specific designer that I'm referencing as the tooth brush seems to be a universal concept, perhaps I could credit the movie as a whole? Either way, the final result was a tooth brush head, with soft rubber spikes to simulate some form of toothpick. I always liked the idea of a simple design, so though it may seem like something that is very easy to create, I went through a large thought process.
Such is how things turned out. Perhaps later I'll make something else that is much farther improved.

This would definitely make my gums bleed! But still, a great response to that part of the film. I think that sustainability and environmentally responsible practices is a really rich and challenging concept to explore as a designer, and am glad to hear it resonated with you.
